Clipstone Welfare returned to winning ways with a 2-1 defeat of Hemsworth MW thanks to goals from new strikers Sean Marsden and Adam Somes.

Clipo gave starts to latest additions Chris Baugh, Rob Austin, Steve Carty and Sean Marsden with ex Stags striker Adam Somes on the bench. The visitors stung Clipstone after only five minutes with Neil Towler heading home at the far post and the same player nearly made it 2 after putting over a great chance on 20 minutes. Hemsworth had by far the best of the first half with Clipo never getting any sort of rhythm going. Whatever Lee Tryner said at half time had the desired effect as the home side came out flying with full back Baugh almost marking his debut with a goal in the first minute. It didn't take Clipo long to level matters after a superb through ball from Will Tomlinson saw Marsden coolly finish for his debut goal. The three man midfield of Dave Issott, Steve Carty and Jamie Tryner were now bossing the game and it came as no surprise when substitute Somes does what he does best and put the ball in the back of the net with a fine low shot into the bottom corner from 10 yards out. Hemsworth showed no real resistance and Clipstone could easily of had more in one of their best 45 minute showings of the season.
Clipstone side: Davies, Baugh, Evans, Austin(R), Shaw, Hunt, Adcock, (Tryner), Issott, Marsden, (Somes), Tomlinson, (West), Carty. Subs not used: Edwards, Shortt.
