Frustrating Start to the Year
Wholehearted effort but lack of cover costs 1st XV dear
A wholehearted effort from the 1st XV saw them go down 15-6 to a useful Old Bedians outfit.
A breezy old day but an excellent playing surface, made for a good handling game.
However two key injuries and no backs bench cover sealed the teams fate; loosing full back and main place kicker Martin Lafranceschina and chunky centre Chris Waddington left the team bereft of attacking options.
Disappointing, but avoidable. Commitment & communication are key to the second half of the season.
