At the age of just nineteen, midfielder Robbie Bromley has an abundance of talent.

Putting pen to paper at Shawbridge yesterday evening, the former Fleetwood Town and Padiham man is now a Blue, for the final six games of the season atleast.

Bromley was in the stands, witnessing Clitheroe’s 2-0 defeat against Spennymoor Town last night and claimed he is looking forward to teaming up with former team mates Louis Mayers and Jay Hart in the up-coming month.

The central midfielder described his delight at joining Clitheroe, stating he is excited to prove his worth now, in the process securing himself an extension into the 2015/16 season…

“I'm delighted to sign for the remaining six games of the season and to be given the chance to play. Hopefully I can prove I'm worth a place in the side for next season too!”

The teenager added; “I don't know too much about the club, but I know they've had a good strong year and it was very difficult to play against them earlier in the season for Padiham!”

Bromley’s signing means the club has seen two new faces come through the door in twenty four hours, after goalkeeper Callum Jakovlevs put pen to paper and subsequently made his debut yesterday.

The box-to-box midfield man is now excited to pull on the famous Blue and White shirt on Saturday against Ossett Town, as he went on to say.

“Simon got in contact with me over the weekend and he basically asked me to come down until the end of the season. I’ve signed now and I can't wait for Saturday!

“I’m a central midfielder who likes to get the ball down and play. I’ve got a very good dead ball delivery so hopefully I can pick up a few assists!”

Ironically, Bromley has already scored against the Blues this season. As he grabbed Padiham’s first, as Clitheroe beat his former side 3-2 back on Boxing Day.

Having played a prominent part at the Arbories during the 2014/15 season, Bromley knows a few of the Blues current strike force.
Which will surely help all parties when the midfielder gets playing.

“I know Jay Hart and Louis Mayers from my time at Padiham and I get on with them really well! I didn't speak to them before signing no but I know they are top players.”

Being no stranger to dictating play in midfield, scoring goals and tackling with ferocious venom. There are clear comparisons between Bromley and Clitheroe’s manager Simon Garner.

The Blues new signing finished in a determined manner as he set out his aims for the remainder of the league campaign. Saying at such a young age he is just happy to have been given the opportunity to impress.

“Simon is a player similar to me, so I know he will help me progress. I'm just happy they've given me a chance to prove myself this season.”

“Personally I want to achieve a place in the team here for next season, as it already looks a great club. I hope the team finish the season strongly too….starting on Saturday!”
