After Alex Palffy deputised during Saturdays 6-0 victory against Prescot Cables. His coach Ryan Parr spoke about the situation with Accrington Stanley and the normal number one, and how Palffy has benefited from working alongside the keeper this season. Helping him stay fresh for when he got his chance last weekend.

Parr said; "Losing Andy at the weekend was a massive loss for us as he has been doing really well since he re-joined us. Our understanding is that Andy was needed on Saturday but will be back with us for our boxing day clash with Padiham."

"We would like to wish Dawbs all the best and fingers crossed he is back in a Clitheroe shirt next Friday at Padiham."

"The positive is we have Palffy, who will came straight into the side for the Prescot Cables game and kept a clean sheet in an impressive 6-0 win."

"Palf has shown this season in the Harrogate Railway and Northwich Victoria home games that he is capable of coming in and doing a good job for us."

"I think a plus for him will have been the time he has spent around Dawbs in the last few months, as I know Alex is keen to improve and those two have a great relationship."
