The First Team stretched their unbeaten league run to 16 games after beating Radnor Valley 3-1 on Saturday. Manager Chris Davies had Ben Richards, Daniel Lewis and Colin Reynolds back in the squad for the game at Ty Brith.
We made the perfect start to the game and went ahead inside 90 seconds. Gregg Brown played in Peter Rees to curl home from 20 yards out. Drew Reynolds and Jordan Jones both went close with efforts from set pieces and Peter Rees was then denied twice from close range as we looked to extend our lead. Good work from Harry Holt allowed Peter Rees to tee up Gregg Brown to fire home our second of the game on the half hour mark. Richie Evans then missed a penalty on 40 minutes after Peter Rees was clattered inside the area. Radnor threatened on the break but keeper Kris Williams was only called on to make a few routine saves during the first half.
We put the game to bed within 5 minutes of the second half. Harry Holt was upended in the box and Richie Evans made no mistake this time when converting the penalty. Ashley Owen, Andrew Evans and Ollie Lewis were then send on with Ben Jones, Peter Rees and Harry Holt making way. Richie Evans had a goal ruled out for offside before then firing wide with a chance from the edge of the area. Radnor scored a consolation goal with 5 minutes to go, their midfielder broke through and slotted the ball into the top corner beating Kris Williams. We saw out the remaining minutes to record another 3 points at home.
