Rhyl RFC 33-33 Dinbych U12s
Dinbych started strongly with a full squad advantage, 14 players to Rhyls 8. Making their debuts were Guto Smith, George Roberts and Oli Owen. In the first half tries by Elsi Jones and Theo Jones and a conversion by Aron Prytherch took Dinbych into Half time 6 points behind with Rhyl having a slightly stronger rucking game and a few lucky runs. Heads did not go down in the second half and with the teams up to 10 a piece, Dinbych came out fighting. Tries from Isaac Jones and Iori Jones meant that both sets of twins had a full set. And with his first try for the club coming from Charlie Mcmanus after a super catch and run on the wing Dinbych matched Rhyl's score. A second conversion from Aron Prytherch, Wil Jones and a debut conversion from Oli Owen meant that the Full time score was a draw at 33-33. If only we had had more time, we could have stretched our score further. Well done to Charlie McManus for a well deserved Player of the match and to the team who once again showed real team spirit and played as a solid unit.
