On Saturday 8th August 2015 Coalville RFC are hosting ‘Rock N Maul 2015’ a Rugby and Music Festival organised by our Young Rugby Ambassadors as part of our RWC2015 celebrations.

Rock N Maul 2015 will be a Charity Event in aid of Scotty’s Little Soldiers (The charity for children of the fallen). The charity themselves have already fully endorsed it as an official event.

We are pleased to announce George Chuter will open the event as our host and Patron of the charity.

The Rugby will include: 10’s Social Rugby and Community Touch Tournaments. Alongside the rugby will be a great deal of other attractions such as a Leicester Tigers Maul Truck, Big Boot and giveaways, Kids Zone Rugby Area, to include: TAG Rugby, Touch Rugby and Dodgeball, stalls, displays, a Full Fun Fair and a great number of independent exhibitions.

A main professional sound stage by Big Rock Promotions and FIP Productions will host live music throughout the day with some great bands both up and coming and signed headliners such as 'House of Thieves' see flyers for Bands Lists. We will finish the day after 10:00pm in the Clubhouse Bar entertained by TBTR. There will be both indoor and outdoor bars with ‘Stufinn’ providing a Hog Roast and Grill and barbecue throughout the day.

The purpose of the event is to showcase the different flavours of our fantastic sport in a great family environment; celebrate RWC2015 and the work of its Young Rugby Ambassadors, and to raise as much money as we can for Scotty’s Little Soldiers. But we need your help...

We would be greatly honoured if your club could join us in our cause by taking part in the 10's tournament, the Touch Tournament (now in its 2nd year) and the Kids Zone on Saturday 8th August. It will be a huge event for a great cause; there will be trophies for the winning teams of both the 10’s and the Community Touch competitions.

The tournament is a charity event and the entry fees of £35.00 per team 10’s Social Tournament and £25.00 per team Touch Tournament will be donated 100% to Scotty’s charity.

Admission to the event is FREE including entry to the live entertainment, bar and food, camping plots are available FREE (please book in advance) to those wanting to stay the night (bucket donations are requested for Scotty’s Little Soldiers. If you wish you can bring more than one team.

Plans for the tournament are gathering great momentum and you will be amazed how quickly it will be upon us. So please help us at Coalville RFC to make the event a phenomenal success and raise a huge amount of money for an amazing cause.
