Nathan departs after a very successful three and a half years at the club and leaves for a record undisclosed fee.
After the new leagues were released Nat made it clear he wanted to stay in the Northern league due to the excessive travelling he would have to do in our new central league.
Rated one of the best players at this level of football he has had his most prolific season with the Ravens last year scoring over 30 goals in all competitions playing a vital role in getting us to two cup finals and winning the Leicestershire Challenge Cup.
He was also the star man in THAT play-off final game away at Shaw Lane going on a mazy run from the half way line before firing a shot into the far corner which instigated our come back and eventual 3-1 victory.
Chairman Glyn Rennocks commented 'We would like to place on record our thanks and good wishes to Nathan as he leaves the club. Although of course we wanted to keep him I have always said I will never stand in anyone's way if they want to leave for the right reasons and this deal also works for the club financially.'
Nathan himself commented ' I would like to thank all the fans for their support over the three and a half successful years I played for Coalville. I have met some great people (players and club members) who I will stay in contact with in the future.
I would also like to thank Glyn for supporting me on and off the pitch with any issues I have had. The club is a credit to itself and is run properly throughout from the volunteers right up to the chairman.
With the new league restructuring and a change in circumstances made it near on impossible for me to commute 3 times a week to Coalville and the away fixtures would be a massive struggle due to working full time.
I wish everyone at the club good luck for the future and will be the first result I check on a Saturday at 5pm!'
Everyone at Coalville Town thanks Nathan for his commitment and wishes him all the very best at his new club.
We will be publishing our full retained players list in the coming days as our first pre-season game draws closer.
