It is with deep regret that we have to announce that Club Volunteer and long time supporter John Symons passed away on New Years Day folllowing a short illness.
John had been involved with Coalville Town for many years and carried out a number of roles including, Commercial Manager, Steward, Turnstile Operator, Presentation Evening Organiser and was an all round good guy who will be sorely missed.
As well as following the Ravens, John could often been seen at other local non-league teams such as Gresley and Loughborough and he was also very proud of his East London roots and his beloved West Ham United.
Club Chairman Glyn Rennocks said “ I have known John for 25 years and he was a football man through and through. Clubs like Coalville depend on people like him and it is very sad news indeed. All of his friends at the club, and he had many, are thinking of his family and loved ones at this time”
Rest In Peace John
