Local leading children's coach, Frank Gomez has been appointed Director of Youth Football in what promises to be an exciting period for the local community.

The Hammers Junior section has swelled to 9 teams for the coming 15/16 season with teams from under 7's all the way up to under 13's.

Head of Communications Sam Merison said "Opening up the facilities here to local children is a perfect way to engage with the community and provide opportunity for children to train and play to a high standard. The fact that we have a top class coaching infrastructure encouraging football played in the right way with Frank Gomez teaching the juniors and Barry Wilde at the Senior end, means that we are building not just a club but a philosophy of how we want our players to develop".

The Hammers have also produced a Youth Development Plan - Dare to Dream, which sees a clear direction of its growth for the next 5 years.
