The game was well matched with both teams very capable of winning the final. Rodborough took the lead in the first half only for the Howard to come out of the blocks in the second half with a fine finish by Tom Flanagan. Both sides had their chances, yet it was the Howard whose persistence and team work came through after Tommy Williams forced a penalty out of the Rodborough defence and then comfortably converted.
