Mark Cornish, who is now the club Commercial Manager, Youth Development Officer, u23 Assistant Manager, milk procurer and various other things, was once a household name on the list of goal scorers for the Hammers.
After impressing during pre season with the u23 squad, Max Cornish was handed a substitute appearance in last Saturdays game vs Peacehaven. Within 5 minutes of coming on, 16 year old Max rose highest at the back post and planted a header in to the top corner to cap an impressive debut.
With many of last seasons u16’s moving into the u23’s this year, they have plenty of scope for progression and improving as they take the next step.
