The NEWFA Challenge Cup competition opens up this weekend with the preliminary rounds and Coedpoeth United have bagged themselves a potentially tricky away tie at Maesgwyn FC.
Recently established Maesgwyn do boast a wealth of Welsh National League experience which belies their position in the league pyramid.
However, Coedpoeth will go into the game looking to get their first win of the season to set up a cup run to rival their current league cup run where they find themselves in the quarter finals.
On the back of their recent 5-1 defeat at the hands of strugglers Llay Welfare, the Coedy squad may have a refreshed look to it with some of the younger players set to get a look-in to see if their youthful confidence and exuberance can sway CUFC's situation, Dan Prince is one name being mentioned among fans and his recent form certainly warrants an extended look from Coedy gaffer, Fenlon.
A cup tie can unite the club and Coedpoeth will be hoping their fans are out in force as they look to blow Maesgwyn away.
