Use this thread to post your comments on how we should structure the club.

Feel free to add your own questions, responses or suggestions but you can also take a loot at the bullet points below and respond to those.

1. The structure of the club should try to bring everyone together and is defined at the top level by the club's constitution and then further by the decisions made in the AGM and committee meetings. And finally each team manager will have some sort of structure within their team.
2. The FAWTrust provides a sample constitution which does contain some points we must included but we are free to add as much or little as we see fit. The constitution of the club must be reviewed every two years meaning it is up for review this year.
3. The two key issues about organisation are who is responsible for what and who ultimately makes the decisions. Often when there is consensus decisions are made collectively or informally but sometimes there needs to be a formal procedure in place if 'the club' needs to reach a conclusion.
4. Lastly, the organisation extends beyond the defined roles and structures it needs to include how people work together, so we also need to think about meetings, communication and accountability.

Factors affecting organisation:
a. the club has mini, junior, youth and senior mens football
b. potential we may add girls/womens football in the future
c. there is lots of non-football work involved in running the club, such as finance, sponsorship, fundraising, tournments, 'marketing', child welfare etc etc
d. including players and volunteers there are over 250 people involved with the club. Add to that 300+ parents and a load of supporters.
e. some key limiting factors on how well our organisation works are peoples time, skills and the facilities available to us.
