Sun shines for the Cogan Summer Football Festival
Pre World Cup weekend of football for everyone
This year the sun shone on over 900 young football players from South Wales during Cogan Coronation AFC’s annual summer football festival at Cogan playing fields on Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th June.
84 teams attended making their way from all over the Vale, Cardiff & Rhondda Cynon Taff bringing with them 500 players from U8’s through to U11’s playing exciting fun filled mini football and over 400 U12’s to U15’s players playing it out for the top spot in their respective age groups in an entertaining pre World Cup weekend of football.
We teamed up with Action for Children and Headlands School in Penarth again over the weekend by supporting their ongoing fundraising by means of a donation from money we raise over the weekend and details of the work Action for Children do can be found on their website - http://www.actionforchildren.org.uk.
Cogan Coronation AFC would like to thank all the club members, friends & family who helped out over the weekend, ensuring the festival ran like clockwork and to all the companies and sponsors who supported the event, including CVC Cardiff, Jenkins Event Photography, Cardiff Embroidery, Tower Print, InspireSport, M.J.L. Event Medical Services and Mr Nardone our Ice cream man who helped keep everyone cool during the sun drenched festival.
