Update on all fronts..
Update on the club over the weekend..
Watch this space as Cogan Coronation are currently in talks with 6 new players over signing for us and help us push on as a club. We currently have 45 players signed on in the senior section of the club. On the other hand congratulations to three youth team players that made it into the first team squad for the recent cup match.
The third team had there first game on saturday which ended in a 4-4 draw against Sully away which could have ended up with a Cogan win if it wasnt for the 48 year old reserve team manager putting on his boots and scoring a comical diving header own goal which ultimately cost the team all 3 points, on the other hand congratulations to Paul Jones another youth team player who was handed his senior debut for the thirds and marked it by scoring 2 goals with Ryan Mccarthy and Daniel Humphries scoring the other goals.
The first team played their first cup match against Penrhiwfer at home with the Cogan taking a very hard fought 2-0 victory AET, Cogan went down to nine men and still took the game into extra time and then showed their superiority and grabbed the 2 goals to seal the victory.
The youth team ended their pre season on a high by beating Cwmric away 5-3 with Lewis Dite and Jamie Harris both bagging two and Charlie Davies grabbing the other one.
