As the season begins to take shape, leader Holbeach lose their 100% record as the Cooks move up to fourth.

While Cogenhoe United were moving up to fourth with a 4-0 home win over ON Chenecks thanks to goals from Matt Long, Nathan Burrows, Séan McBride and Ashley Clamp, four of the other Northamptonshire sides were also in Premier Division action.
The biggest surprise of the night came at previously unbeaten Desborough Town, who went down 0-5 at home to Leicester Nirvana. Jordan Nelson gave Nirvana the half-time lead through a 9th minute goal from Jordan Nelson. Daniel Durkin made it two three minutes after the re-start before Shaquille Master took over with a hattrick, netting after 58, 63 and 75 minutes.
In another all county match, Wellingborough Town picked up their first points of the season with a 3-0 win over visitor’s Sileby Rangers. A rare goal from Joe Rich gave the Doughboys the lead on 44 minutes and Lloyd Buckby doubled the advantage a minute after the re-start. Daniel Uche made it three twenty minutes from time to bring Sileby back to earth following their win at Sleaford.
Daventry Town returned home from Canal Street with a point after a 1-1 draw at St Andrews. Former Cooks skipper Phil Cassidy gave Dav the lead ten minutes after the break, but Mason Brown bagged an equaliser five minutes from the end.
The biggest score of the night came in Cambridgeshire where Wisbech Town romped to a 9-1 win over hapless Sleaford Town. Josh Ford (4, 28), Alex Beck (17, 32), Harry Baldry (47) Jon Fairbrother (74), Kieran Hamilton (76, 83) and Michael Frew (82) on target for the Fenmen. Andy Chadwick scored the visitor’s goal three minutes before the interval, but it was merely a blip on the night for the rampant home side.
Deeping Rangers bounced back from their defeat at Whitworth with a good 3-1 win at Yaxley. Last season’s goal merchants Scott Coupland and Scott Mooney did the damage for Rangers. Mooney (9) and Coupland (11) put the visitor’s in early control. Sub Phil Stebbing pulled one back for Yaxley on 63 to give them hope, but Coupland’s second from the penalty spot on 72 wrapped up the points.
Kirby Muxloe have made a good start to the season and they kept that up with a 2-0 derby victory over Oadby Town. Josh Burmiston gave the home side the lead on 16 and Tyler Love added the killer second on 84.
In the FA Cup, Boston Town finally made it through on penalties after a 2-2 extra-time draw at Radford.

Just one game and Holbeach United dropped their first points of the season, but remain top after a 2-2 home draw with Peterborough Northern Star. Connor Pilbeam gave Star the lead on 6 mins, but Mitchell Griffiths levelled on 35. Lewis Leckie put the Tigers in front five minutes before the break, but Star hit back to earn a point through Jak Munton sixty seconds later.
