Eynesbury Rovers showed their championship potential with a 5-0 win over Boston Town. Dom Lawless gave Rovers the lead four minutes before the interval and doubled it himself a minute before the hour. Declan Rogers joined in with a late brace of his own netting on 82 and a minute past the 90, with Craig Smith rounding off an emphatic score-line a minute later. Maybe Boston had one eye on their F.A Cup tie at home to Hyde United this Saturday, but still a very impressive win for Eynesbury.
Leicester Nirvana closed the gap on leaders Newport Pagnell Town to just one point with a 3-1 home win over neighbours Kirby Muxloe. Dan Durkin added to his impressive season’s tally with the opener after 41, but Muxloe levelled on 63. Shaquille Master has also been banging the goals in of late and he put Nirvana back in front with 72 minutes gone and Luke Anderson ensured the points stayed at Hamilton Park with a killer third a minute from time.
St Andrews picked up a point at Canal Street with a 1-1 draw against unpredictable Desborough Town. Luay Bashir gave the Leicester club an early lead with his eighth minute strike, but Ar Tran were back on par through Jason Turner after 27.

League Knock-Out Cup-First Round

Daventry Town were made to work by S&L Corby before eventually going through 4-1. The Division One visitors belied their lowly position by taking the lead at the Communications Park through Jack Rogers after just 12 minutes, but a header from Rico Alexander after 21 and a second from Robbie Parsons a minute before the break swung the tie around. Tom McGowan chipped the keeper from the edge of the box to extend the lead on 51 and Jake Dumbleton fired in a low shot from just inside the box after Jordan Orosz had set him up eleven minutes from the end.
Harborough Town beat Cogenhoe United 3-1 on their own patch and scored all the goals themselves. Goalless at the break, The Bees found another gear and went three-up through Greg Usher (58), Aleixs Alcindor (77) and Ben Williams with a penalty on 89. Tony Bartlett bundled the ball over his own line in stoppage time after Nathan Burrows header had hit the underside of the bar.
Rothwell Corinthians became the first team to win at Newport Pagnell Town this season with a 1-0 victory courtesy of Jordan Henson’s strike ten minutes from time.

Yaxley continued their rise up the table with a comfortable 3-0 win at Sleaford Town. Dan Cotton was The Cuckoos hero, just as he has been many times over the last few seasons, banging in a second-half hat-trick with goals after 49, 61 and 85.

Lincolnshire F.A Senior Trophy-First Round

Deeping Rangers ran out 3-1 winners over Step-6 Blackstones at Outgang Road. Dan Schiavi gave Deeping the lead on 38, but Joe Papworth levelled two minutes after the restart. Jonathan Clay restored the lead on 57 and skipper David Burton-Jones made it three ten minutes later.

League Knock-Out Cup-First Round

Division One side Long Buckby compounded O.N Chenecks miserable start to the season with a 4-1 win at Billing Road. Two goals from Manny Salumu and one apiece from Ty Wilson and Mason Frost doing the damage for The Bucks, but as usual I couldn’t find out the Chenecks scorer.
