Jake Stone's squad continue their preparations for the new season with their first Tuesday night fixture.

The Cooks entertain UCL Division One side Long Buckby AFC on Tuesday night with a 7-45pm kick-off. It is a difficult time for our guests with manager Darran Foster reluctantly having give up his role last week due to his working patterns so as I write this they are still on the hunt for a new man in the Station Road hot-seat. Buckby have spent the last few seasons struggling near the wrong end of the Division One table after being one of the leading lights in the Premier Division for many years and Champions in the not too dim and distant past, but that almost seems a lifetime away now in football terms.
We travelled to Station Road last pre-season and cruised to a very comfortable 5-0 win with all our goals coming in the first half. It took a while to get going, but after Liam Tuck had put away a penalty on 25 minutes, it became one-way traffic with further strikes from Nathan Burrows (28), Ryan Ansell (38 & 45) and Jake Cayton (44).
Craig Hayward is trying to arrange a friendly for the Reserves on Wednesday or Thursday night and I will endeavour to keep you updated if his efforts come to fruition.
