After Thursday's late night, at least it's Compton Park for the lads on Saturday.

Fifth-placed Deeping Rangers come to Compton Park in the first of a run of three home games before the season’s finale somewhere in Leicester a week on Wednesday. Possibly at Hamilton Park, but I wouldn’t put money on it.
Despite their successful season, Deeping were in the title race up until very recently, but dropped points, including a 2-2 draw at Outgang Road against The Cooks, have meant they have slipped out of running in the final chapter.
The recent 2-2 draw saw Cogenhoe come from behind through Montel Dore and Matt Long and look likely to extend their winning streak to nine, but that man Scott Coupland found a yard in the box and fired home an equaliser late on. Scott Mooney had given the home side the lead early in the second half. We had already won 3-1 at Outgang Road in the League Cup earlier in the season and given the fact we haven’t conceded a goal in our last three games whilst picking up all nine points, the Cogenhoe lads will be confident that they can continue to be a fly in the Deeping ointment this season, while our visitors will be hoping to exact some revenge on us at the third attempt. The cup game saw goals from Ashley Clamp, Long and McBride putting us three-up before Coupland reduced the arrears from a late spot-kick.
Since being well beaten at Wisbech, we have been victorious against Sleaford Town (3-0), ON Chenecks (2-0) and Boston Town (1-0) and we are able to welcome back Sean McBride from suspension for the game, but Dan Smith is unavailable and George Barnell must be an injury doubt after being forced off on Thursday night.
Deeping’s promotion challenge faded in the run in with too many draws saw vital points dropped. Their last seven league matches have seen them lose just once, but four of those matches ended level meaning tem out of a possible twenty-one points as the top three opened up a gap on them.
They were impressive 4-0 winners at Peterborough Northern Star on Tuesday night though with Henry Dunn, Scott Coupland, Jonny Clay and Scott Mooney all on target. Coupland and Mooney are always formidable in the box and they have 69 goals between them this season (42 & 27 respectively) and have rattled them in over the last three seasons for Deeping.
Last season’s game here came during Cogenhoe’s low point and the visitors were deserved 2-0 winners that day. Inevitably it was Coupland and Mooney who got the goals.
The game gets under way at 3pm at Compton Park, weather permitting of course as it has been lashing down with rain in Milton Keynes for the last few hours and I assume it will be doing the same across the border in Northamptonshire.

The Reserves finish their season off with a tough one as they visit league leaders Oadby Town Reserves. The home side’s ground is currently out of action so the game is being played at Blaby & Whetstone Boys Club, the former home of recently defunct Blaby & Whetstone Athletic who played most recently in the East Midlands League. 3pm there too if you are headed for Warwick Road.
