Leicester Nirvana and Boston Town's grounds both go into the satnav this week.

A very hectic end to the season awaits the Cooks, kicking-off with three games in five days. Tuesday night sees us finally make our first visit to Hamilton Park, the home of Leicester Nirvana as they have recently been able to play their ‘home’ games at home after using several 3G pitches around the city and beyond. The venue on Sandhills Avenue has really felt the effects of the bad weather, leaving it waterlogged (when not under snow or ice) and meaning they went from the 5th December to 17th April without being able to use it for a game.
A lot has changed since they visited Compton Park as early leaders back in September and won 4-1 and probably only four of the Cogenhoe starting line-up that day will be do so again this week, while recent form has seen the visitors somewhat unpredictable. Defeats have come against Newport Pagnell Town and Wisbech Town (both 0-1), draws v Wellingborough Town and Daventry Town (both 2-2) while their 6-1 home win over Harborough Town and a 9-0 win over Sileby Rangers prove they still know where the goal is.

Moving in to Thursday and our longest trip of the league campaign as we head to Boston Town. The Poachers lost 4-1 at resurgent Oadby Town last Saturday, four days after becoming the latest club to hammer Sileby, hitting seven without reply at Fernie Fields. A draw at Kirby Muxloe had followed a defeat at Newport so it’s just one win in four for the Poachers, but prior to that they had won four in a row after an eleven match winless streak.

After these two trips we finish the season off with three home games and I’ll return to previewing them the day before the game, but with the report to do on Wednesday night, I may not have time to do the Boston preview as well.

Both games get under way at 7-45pm and as always, all support is welcome for the boys.
