Kirby show no Love for Cooks.

First half goal from Aaron Love enough to take the points for Muxloe.

Saturday 30th September 2017
CHROMASPORT & TROPHIES UNITED COUNTIES LEAGUE-PREMIER DIVISION
KIRBY MUXLOE (1) 1 v COGENHOE UNITED (0) 0
Kirby scorer; Aaron Love.

"We started the game with a real lack of intensity, failing to make a tackle and deservedly found ourselves 1 down to Aaron Love's goal. The score could have been far worse if it wasn't for 4 top class saves from Stuart Lutter.
Second half we changed tactics and dominated the proceedings. We won second balls, made tackles and had all the territory. We had a couple of good chances and could have created more with better decision making in the final 3rd.
Game of two halves. We have to show the desire and passion we showed second half as we really competed and deserved a draw out of the game."

Man of the match goes to Stuart Lutter for a number of top class saves.

Cooks team; 1. Stuart Lutter 2. Charlie Hynam (sub 16. Jake Cayton) 3. Dan Smith 4. Dan Stevenson 5. Josh Melling 6. Séan McBride 7. Ryan Ansell 8. Jacob Cox 9. Chris Wreh 10. Nathan Burrows (sub. 14. Montel Dore) 11. Kiel Mullen (sub 12. Michael Parkes). Sub not used; 15. Ryan Dove.

Thanks to the gaffer Tom Chapman for supplying the write-up this week. Illness and bad news meant I was stuck at home on a Saturday afternoon so not in the best of moods. Should be at Wellingborough on Tuesday night and normal service shall resume. Apologies to all those who enjoy my Saturday ramblings and photos.

*The photo at the top is from last season, just in case you think Luke Stone has come out of retirement.
