Hello all hope you are have a great summer. As I sent out feelers for earlier in the season, I now have a date for a parents against kids game!!
The main criteria is that you have a child capable for playing against adults( probably not the highest quality!!) and a parent who's willing to go up against their kiddie!!
Notice I say parent, as mums and dads could play!!!
The date is 30th of August. 9:30 start as the men's 2nds have a game in the afternoon. And David Gibson suggested the date so we could make a bit of a family day of it with a bbq at the club lunchtime before cheering on the adults in their game. The reason for this is, the Sunday 2nds has been set up as a chance to introduce some of the colts (more u14's upwards) to men's cricket and give some of the more experienced club members a less competitive level of cricket to play, also there's the chance of attempting to get at least a game or two for fathers and sons in the same team. It would be a great chance for the lads to see the level of cricket they could be playing next year. If you could reply ASAP, as I have 2 teams to sort out that day. It will be a 20-20, with batsmen retiring on 25 all those who don't get to bat will do more bowling, but everyone will have to bowl 1 over at least!!
