All four of Colchester United's female football teams that play in competitive leagues are in contention for end of season honours with three of the sides sitting proudly at the top of their respective leagues.
Colchester United Ladies FC have completed their league campaign and are top of the FA Womens Premier League South Division for the first time in club history. They face an anxious wait to see if challengers Portsmouth and West Ham United can overhaul their club record total of 35 points in the New Year.

The Colchester United Ladies Reserves squad are also pushing hard for promotion currently sitting in third place in the FA Womens Premier League Reserve Section South Division 2 looking for a second place finish that would earn them a place in the Reserve Section Division 1 alongside the likes of WSL outfits Arsenal, Chelsea and Bristol Academy.

Colchester United's renowned Female Academy programme are backing up their outstanding 2010/11 campaign with a solid start to the new season topping their British Colleges National Elite League Group ahead of the Academy programmes from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Bristol Academy while the defence of their BCS National Cup and English Schools FA crowns is on track reaching the quarter finals and semi finals of both competitions respectively.

Finally the Colchester United Girls' Centre of Excellence U-17s are also on top of another tough league heading up the compeitive London & SE division ahead of the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Millwall and Norwich.

All in all then a very merry Christmas for Colchester's teams, an argument can be made for the programme being the most successful overall female football club in the country at present with so many sides leading the way.
