COMPULSORY I.R.F.U. INSURANCE SCHEME
The Compulsory I.R.F.U. Insurance Scheme does not seek to compensate fully for injury. Its purpose is to provide a minimum level of cover.
Benefits are only payable following an accident –
(ii) Loss of 2 Limbs and/or the loss of both eyes or 1 limb and 1 eye
(iii) Loss of 1 limb or the loss of 1 eye
(iv) Permanent Total Disablement (subject to restrictions shown below)
(v) Severe injury involving loss of use of two legs and two arms
It does not provide payment of medical expenses including scans, or loss of earnings, nor does it cover fatal collapse unless a physical accident precedes same.
The ultimate responsibility lies with the individual player to ensure he/she is fully covered in accordance with his/her specific needs.
Separate optional additional covers are available via Schemes organised by the Union’s Insurance Broker, Aon.
Coleraine R.F.&C.C. strongly recommends that individual players avail themselves of these optional additional covers.
