Colne's winning streak came to an end at Towneley in a game which they could easily have got something out of. Having taken the lead with a free-kick from Harry Mattinson, Colne had opportunities to score more goals before Ighten Leigh equalised with a screamer from 25 yards and then took the lead just before half-time. Ighten Leigh extended their lead after the break with a good strike from the edge of the box, but Colne continued to press with Elliot Foster being denied on four occasions, with saves by Ighten Leigh's outstanding keeper. On other days Colne's performance would have earned them all three points, but it just wasn't meant to be. Elliot Foster's determined performance earned him the Man of the Match award for Colne.
