What could only be described as a torrential downpour preceded the visit of Sutton Town to Foley Road but it did nought to dampen the spirits of the quickly developing development squad.
Colron started with a new found confidence that only comes with playing matches or a tummy full of jelly babies, thankfully it was the former. From the off Cauis Farmer quickly started to control the midfield area with strong play, mark bryon cleared up manfully at the back, Jake 'Ibrahimovic' Smith calm and collected up front. It was those three players that combined for the first goal, Bryon threaded a through ball to Smith who held up just long enough to draw the defender before realeasing Farmer. Caius then ran to the far right of the penalty area before smashing past the keeper.
Shortly afterwards Bryon smashed an unstoppable volley from outside of the box that a defender was only able to divert past his own keeper.
Matthew Smith was again efficient and courageous in goal with good distribution.
Oliver Turner really wowed with his tireless work from fullback.
James Lawrence, team captain, lead by example with a good all round game.
Joshua James found it hard going trying to force the play but made some good runs.
Jake Smith lead the line well and some of his hold up play was first class.
Myles Jackson worked really hard to get on the ball and support team mates showing a good improvement so far this season.
Morgan Simpson grew into his new role as the game went on showing some considered touches.
