Bears Friendlies

Congleton Town FC did not begin their pre-season friendlies with an away trip to Cheadle Linotype last Saturday

The weather forced the game to be cancelled. Plans considering re-arranging the game on Tuesday 10th also fell by the wayside.

So the opening friendly is the visit of Crewe Alexandra to Booth Street this Saturday 14th July KO 1.30pm and they look to be bringing a strong squad. This is followed by another match at Booth Street on Tuesday 17th July against Droylsden KO 7.45pm and then at home to New Mills on Saturday 21st July KO 2pm.

The league season begins on Saturday 4th August with the Bears at home to Bootle KO 3pm and on Monday 6th August they are away at Runcorn Town KO 7.45pm. That match is followed by a further friendly with the visit of Port Vale on Wednesday 8th August KO 7.45pm.

The challenging start to the season continues with a trip to Colne on Saturday 11th August in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round KO 3pm. The Bears start their FA Vase campaign on Saturday 1st September with a home draw against Northern Counties East side Rossington Main KO 3pm.
