An enjoyable week of fixtures for our U8-U16 sides against pro clubs, along with another league win for our under 18s in the Clwyd East Mens League.

Another great pre season of fixtures kicked off last Wednesday when our under 8-11 sides faced Wigan Athletic at home in very competitive fixtures.

A great set of games and opposition, which was fantastic to host at The Quay 3G. A huge thanks to Wigan for attending and we look forward to travelling away to them later in the season.

Saturday saw our youth phase sides face Shrewsbury Town with our under 13s and 15s travelling away recording a five one win and one all draw in two very good performances.

Our under 16s fell to a three two defeat to Shrewsbury at The Quay 3G. The side had found themselves two nil up thanks to two goals from Lewis Hopwood but conceded three goals in the final twenty minutes to narrowly lose in a disappointing fashion.

The final game on Saturday at The Quay 3G saw our under 14s defeat Manchester City in a thrilling end to end game which ended in an eight seven win for the Nomads side.

Our under 18s continued their great start to the season with a three nil win away to Bradley Park mens side with sixteen year olds Jacob Barrett (2) and Jack Swinnerton getting the goals for the side.

This is the fourth win on the bounce for Lee Woodward and Kevin Manley's young side and is a great start to a very competitive adults league.
