Just over six weeks ago all of our players were tested in four specific fitness areas including speed, speed endurance, power and agility.
This included all players from our U13-U19 sides.
Attached below are the scores for all players across these tests.
Players have been ranked on each component from top to bottom with a team average and club average attached to each test also.
A reminder that it is not overly important where a player is currently, but where they will progress and improve on over this season and coming years.
Following our testing evening all players in the youth and senior phase received a six week off season program to ensure they return to training in top physical condition.
A huge focus on the academy curriculum for our senior phase (U18-U19) and youth phase (u13-u16) will be on the physical side of the game this season, alongside the other four corners tactical, technical and psychological.
The testing is a way for the club to monitor players physical development and for players to use as a motivational tool to push and to progress themselves as athletes.
Over the season players will be tested a total of six times and we are looking for players to strive for improvement across the whole campaign. All of these dates are on the events section of the website.
The next batch of testing will take place a week today on Monday 17th July. The testing was planned for today but unfortunately academy sport scientist Ed Harper is away in Croatia on European duty with TNS first team.
Players are reminded to continue following the off season plan all the way through until September when the season starts and then all will be given an in season conditioning program also.
Full details on next weeks time slots for sides will be on the website later this week.
