Academy Team of the Week - Monday 13th March 2017

1 year ago By Jay Catton

Following all action over the last five days, this weeks Team of the Week has been announced.

Under 8s – Connor Dean

Connor was superb against Conwy scoring 6 goals from the winger. Opposition manager giving him man of the match. (Craig Griffiths U8 Coach)

Under 9s – Matthew Cross

A brilliant performance from Matty on Saturday, one we've missed from him in the last few months. Twisting in and out and beating defenders easily, 2 well taken goals and loads of energy, really good performance from Matty and one we hope he can kick on from. (Ben Nash U9 Coach)

Under 10s – Zak Talbot

Under 10 s player of the week is Zak. Back to his old self both in training and in the game, moved the ball really well this week and has more of a desire to get the ball back, nice to see. (Gavin Bennett U10 Coach))

Under 11s – Harvey Drazdauskas

Outstanding performance leading the line vs Conwy on Saturday! Link up play was quality and scored 5 superb goals. (Chris Brooks U11 Coach)

Under 12s – Rafael Endemano

Raffi led the line well vs Bala on Sunday, he looked after the ball so well against a tough centre half & his hold up play was outstanding as he linked up well with midfield runners! He also found himself in right place at the right time to score a big equaliser in the dying moments too .(Daniel Mapp-Jones U12 Coach)

Under 13s – Dominic Jenkins

A superb performance against flint, directing the play from midfield , strong in the air along with great variation in his passing topped off with some fine finishing.(Dale Johnson U13 Coach)

Under 14s – Sonny Williams

Made a positive effect in the second half moved the ball quick linked the play from midfield to attack (Anthony Weaver U14 Coach)

Under 15s – Lewis Yeates

A great display from Lewis, back to his best, winning the ball, strong tackling and keeping possession of the ball consistently! (Leighton Sumner U15 Coach)

Under 16s – No Game

Academy Coleg Cambria Scholars B – No Game

Academy Coleg Cambria Scholars A – George Coulthon

Solid at the back. (Sean Regan U19 Coach)

Under 18s –Cameron Jones

Excellent in both attack and defence from full back, looked very comfortable in his first game of the season for the u18s. His decision making was brilliant all over the pitch. (Lee Woodward U18 Coach)

Under 19s – Craig Chisholm

Great work rate and never gave up. (Sean Regan U19 Coach)

As always a huge thanks to U8 Coach Craig Griffiths who is pulling this story together each week and producing the top quality photo you can see above
