Academy Team of the Week - Monday 2nd October 2017.

2 months ago By Jay Catton

Following a ten out of ten weekend last weeks Team of the Week has been announced.

As always a big thank you to U9 coach Craig Griffiths for pulling this story together and producing the photo also.

Under 8 – Jack Davies

Didn't miss a tackle, read the game brilliantly too. Also 1 assist and possibly goal of the month. (James Duff U8 Coach)

Under 9 – Lennon Young

Scored a very well taken hat trick in a tough game against Flint Town United(Craig Griffiths U9 Coach)

Under 10 – Oliver Evans

Oli was brilliant again in a very tight game against Flint, scoring a belter from 20 yards (again) with 2 minutes left to equalise, then assisted the winner in the dying seconds.(Ben Nash U10 Coach)

Under 11 – Thomas Hughes

Tom's defensive display on Saturday was exceptional, Won every tackle & was solid throughout all game.(Jordan Parry U11 Coach)

Under 12 – Hayden Roberts

Did exactly what was asked if him before coming on at half time, ball retention was top class.(Leighton Sumner U12 Coach)

Under 13 – Ethan Hansen

Superb performance at LB this weekend, scored a fantastic volley from outside box in first 10mins and looked very accomplished on the ball for 70mins!! (Daniel Mapp-Jones U13 Coach)

Under 14 – Jake Harper

Absolutely terrorised Colwyn Bay , stunning attacking performance from left back , was unplayable. (Dale Johnson U14 Coach)

Under 15– Harry Challinor

Strong physical performance at CB won his Ariel battles and looked assured on the ball also chipped in with a goal from a well worked set piece. (Anthony Weaver U15 Coach)

Under 16 – Michael Follis

Rarely gave the ball away after a safe and slow start grew into the game and controlled the game from the number 6 position. Great performances from the 16s but Michael just shaved it, been playing very very well for past few weeks. Well done (Iain BennettU16 Coach)

Academy Scholars B – Cameron Ramsey

Cam Ramsey was excellent in our national cup win vs Coleg Llandrillo assisting one and scoring 1 in an all round excellent performance.(Iain Bennett Academy Scholars Coach)

Academy Scholars A– Jay Loyden

An excellent performance from Jay in our British Colleges Cup game, making a number of saves. Drew credit from the Wales Colleges manager with his performance.(Daniel Reece Academy Scholars Coach)

Under 18 – No Game

Under 19 – Daniel Roberts

Great all round performance from Dan, excellent in possession and commanding in the air (Daniel Reece U19 Coach)
