This weeks team of the week has been announced following jam packed weekend of games for the academy.

Under 8s – Alfie Griffiths

Alfies work rate was excellent and scored a superb hat-trick against a strong Wigan Athletic team. (Craig Griffiths U8 Coach)

Under 9s – Kenzie Pickles

Kenzie was near man of the match in both games over the weekend, scoring some brilliant goals and picking up hand full of assists, running at defenders with pace and getting early shots off. (Ben Nash U9 Coach)

Under 10s – Harry Serridge

Harry scored 10 goals against Presatyn, he caused them trouble all game, he scored some great individual goals, held the ball up well bringing others into play, and scored 3 off corners.(Jason Bell U10 Coach)

Under 11s – Matthew Senior

One of the most mature performances I have seen in an under 11! Was calm and composed on the ball and could count on 1 hand how many times he gave the ball away! Scored 2 great goals as well against a side that a lot of his mates played in so made it even sweeter! Fantastic performance Matt. (Chris Brooks U11 Coach)

Under 12s – Luca Jones

Was effective in centre midfield in our friendly on Monday evening but also had great attitude & application in both training sessions this week as usual, he's a great example of a academy listening & taking on board information. (Daniel Mapp-Jones U12 Coach)

Under 13s – Oliver Johnson

3 left footed goals and 2 assists , big influence in both games this weekend (Dale Johnson U13 Coach)

[b]Under 14s – Oliver Cubbin

Confident assured performance on Friday at Everton and another solid game vs Bala. (Iain Bennett U14 Coach)

Under 15s – Sion Williams

Outstanding on the left wing vs the u16s, loads of positive forward runs, forcing defenders to dive in and commit fouls against him.(Leighton Sumner U15 Coach)

Under 16s – Joe Roberts

Joe sets the example in our group. He trains hard and that shows in the matches he plays. (Mark Rowlands U16 Coach)

Academy Coleg Cambria Scholars B – Jack Foster

Jack Foster outstanding game vs Mid Cheshire college. Scoring 3 and hitting the bar twice. Held the ball up well and took his chances. Very composed finishes with a great work ethic pressing from the front.(Iain Bennett Academy Scholars Coach)

Academy Coleg Cambria Scholars A – George Coulthon

Commanding and composed at the back.(Sean Regan Academy Scholars Coach)

Under 18s –Liam Bruford

Fantastic performance again. He's been mr consistent since Karters fine form took him to the 19's and today he was up and down the right tirelessly, him and Luke Woolley worked in tandem in with each other brilliantly causing all sorts of problems for them.(Lee Woodward U18 Coach)

Under 19s – Thomas Bridges

Real threat down the flank throughout the match.(Sean Regan U19 Coach)

As always a huge thanks to U8 Coach Craig Griffiths who is pulling this story together each week and producing the top quality photo you can see above
