All sides in action this weekend in games against Cefn Druids and AFC Telford.

Another great weekend of academy games action kicked off on Saturday as our under 8 to under 11 sides hosted Cefn Druids academy in friendly games at The Quay 3G.

Four very competitive fixtures for our sides with some great play played by all teams.

Our under 12s followed playing out a very entertaining three all draw with AFC Telford. A huge thanks to Craig Griffiths (U9s) and Matt Griffiths (U14s) for taking the side with Leighton Sumner and Jordan Mapp Jones unavailable.

Our under 18s played out two league fixtures this week for the start of the Clwyd East Mens League. A two nil home win last Tuesday over Airbus UK Broughton with goals from Sam Haley and Joe Sullivan was followed up with a thirteen two victory away to Belle Vue FC Mens side in Wrexham.

Connor Harwood grabbed himself seven goals with Joe Sullivan, Jacob Barratt and Tom Bridges getting two goals each also.

Sunday saw four very competitive friendlies against Cefn Druids at U13-U16 age groups.

Strong wins and performances by our under 13 and 14 sides were followed by a 1-1 draw for our U15s and a three all draw for our U16s which saw a goal for each side in stoppage time of the fixture.

Unfortunately prior to kick off under 15 Adam Gunnery suffered a very serious arm injury during the warm up.

Everyone at Connah's Quay Nomads wishes Adam a speedy recovery and we hope to see him back in action and around the football club very soon. Best wishes to Adam and his family.
