A fantastic week for the academy, in particular senior phase with impressive wins for Scholars, U18s, U19s and First Team.

Academy action kicked off last Wednesday with our Nomads Academy Coleg Cambria Scholars away to newly formed Bala Town scholars of Coleg Meirion Dwyfor in the Welsh Schools U19s cup.

The fixture was played at Bala Town which saw a strong three nil away win for Nomads Academy Coleg Cambria Scholars.

Friday evening the academy hosted Tranmere Rovers for the second consecutive week in friendlies at The Quay 3G. Both our U13s and U14s were well beaten by the Conference clubs centre of excellence teams.

Saturday morning our mini teams hosted Caernarfon Town and Bangor City in mini festival games which was a fully enjoyable batch of fixtures at The Quay 3G with a total of twelve games taking place across the morning.

Our under 15s travelled away to Elesmere College to face a mixed U15 and U16 side also on Saturday morning. On a very tight pitch and difficult conditions for the side they played out a six one victory in a solid performance.

Our young under 18s secured a fantastic four three win in the League Cup away to Halkyn United mens team in a real end to end fixture which ended in a four three win for the Nomads side. A fantastic result for Matt Sampson and Kevin Manleys side.

Sunday saw our U13s and U15s face Caernarfon Town in friendly fixtures securing strong wins with very good performances across both teams at the Quay 3G.

The U16s completed the weekend of action at The Quay 3G securing a four nil win at home to Nantwich Town with a very strong second half performance where all four goals were scored.

Following wins for scholars, 18s and first team the under 19s aimed to make it 100% week for the senior section of the club travelling away to second placed Bala Town in the Welsh Premier Development League.

Arguably one of the results of the season saw The Nomads win away at Maes Tegid by six goals to one thanks to four goals from Sam Haley and a brace for sixteen year old Jacob Barratt which moves the side up to second one point behind top spot.

Another enjoyable weekend for the academy which we look to continue for the next two weeks as we lead into the half term break.
