December and January Player of the Month Winners Announced

Winning players will be given their trophies at half time of this Thursday evenings first team game.

All players will be attending first team game along with all academy players and will be presented with their trophies at half time by a Connah's Quay Nomads First Team player.

Players reminded to be wearing red Nomads training top and pants for the presentation where they will also have a professional photo taken by Head Media officer Nik Mesney.

A huge well done to all winners for the past two months.

Under 8

December - Riley Duff

Riley's performances against some strong opposition (Forest,Wigan,u9s side) were excellent. Adding to good wing play and the usual assists a handful of goals. Well done Riley.

January - Owen Conway

Owen's shown great attitude and form in games and training. Terrific versatility too, adding to being a dangerous forward has shown to be as effective at the back. Well done Owen

Under 9

December – Lennon Young

Lennon has had great attitude through December, worked hard in training and has been a pleasure to watch in the futsal festivals.

January – Taylor Williams

Taylor has shown great maturity for his age, always gives his best in training and matches, He takes everything on board what the coaches are teaching him and will be a player to watch for the future.

Under 10

December – Ben Williams

A brilliant month for Ben where he hit top form. A number of man of the match performances along with plenty of goals and assists.

January – Iago Scott

Iago's first full month after signing midway through December has been nothing short of a success. 2 man of the matches in consecutive futsal festivals, some brilliant goals in 8v8 games and his attitude and application in training is fantastic.

Under 11

December - Issac Godwin

Issac trains hard and is a constant threat down the left wing, he just gets on with his role and does it very well, well done Issac.

January – Jamie Davies

Jamie give 100% in everything he does, he's a typical leader and team player, he's played well at both left back and centre mid this year, keep up the hard work Well done Jamie.

Under 12

December - Charlie Price

Charlie had been looking forward to the futsal period and it showed in his performances. Looking confident and to be positive when in possession. He scored 2 greats goals in the first round of fixtures and we are hoping this will push Charlie on in the second half of the season!

January - Jack Lever

Since Jack joined Nomads at the start of the season, he has been Mr Consistent. Week in week out he gives everything on the pitch in both futsal and Super Six. Constantly breaking up play and playing forward when possible. Jack is going to be one of our crucial players in the second half of Super Six!

Under 13

December - Jay Mountain

In a frustrating month with plenty of cancellations due to opposition and whether Jay shown a huge improvement in his output in training!! His work rate and attitude was a fantastic example for teammates to follow, challenge is to maintain this now

January- Ben Hesketh

Ben has stepped up to the plate in January, captaining the side on many occasions and standing out in most games.

Under 14

December - Regan Jones

A reallyeally strong month from Regan both in futsal and eleven a side game, fantastic energy and enthusiasm along with some fantastic disciplined performances, breaking up play and starting many plays moving forward. Well done Regan

January - Harry smith

Harry has come back after Xmas and shown what he's all about , he's been outstanding in training his attitude and effort has been superb , playing in two difficult games in January and was the clear standout in both games. Keep up the good work .

Under 15

December – Ben O Neil

Ben has shown a lot of improvement since the start of the season and shown a great attitude towards training and has taken information on very well.

January – Zak Tyler Holland

Zak is improving week by week and is starting to put in solid performances each game. He also shows great work rate consistently in training.

Under 16

December – Lewis Yeates

Lewis has shown outstanding attitude in games and training. He is playing with real desire and hunger for the team, which has been recognised by the U19s manager with a number of strong performances. Well done Lewis.

January – Leo Sumner

Leo has been outstanding in training over the month and out in great performance in particular against Wrexham and Tranmere. He has also been a stand out plaer over the futsal fixtures. Well done Leo.

Under 18

December - Callum Bennett

Deserved through implementing the correct attitude and desire throughout each game and has led by example in effort given. Developed his technical side and has added some stability in the left back position

January – Daniel Smith

Added real quality in the centre with brilliant ball retention and creating of chances. Possessed determination when the team lose the ball and consistently leads by example. Thoroughly deserved.

Under 19

December - Dominic McHugh

A great month for Dom who stepped up to being the match winner we know he can be. He gives us a great outlet down the left hand side, and is no one better in 1v1 situations. Well done Dom. Dan

January – Joe Sullivan

Fantastic all month for us, giving the team drive and energy from midfield. Aside from this, we have received great feedback from the senior team with his performances in training with them. We are all delighted with him and believe he has a very bright future at the club.

Re Arranged - Nomads Academy Coleg Cambria Scholarship Open Evening 2018-2020 Monday 26th February 2018 we will be hosting our open evening for next seasons Academy Scholarship Programme in partnership with Coleg Cambira.
Academy to Attend First Team Game this Thursday 1st February vs Bala Town This Thursday evening our first team face Bala Town in a Facebook live game for 19:45 kick off at the Deeside Stadium.
