Gap 20:20 Charity Tournaments U8-U11 April 2017!

Nomads Academy will be running four junior league tournaments on Easter Friday and Saturday with all proceeds going to chosen charities.

As most are aware the football club is owned and supported by Wrexham based recruitment company gap Personnel.

2017 marks the 20th anniversary of gap personnel. 20 incredible years with some amazing challenges, achievements, accolades and successes.

To mark this momentous year gap personnel is launching its 20:20 challenge. In simple terms, this is a challenge to raise a minimum of £20,000, for charitable causes, to mark their 20th year as a business, 1997 -2017.

Nomads Academy and football club are pleased to support this great initiative and momentous year for the company.

gap have formally set up the gap Charity Foundation, a not for profit organization which will eventually gain its own full Charity Status.
The gap personnel group will make direct donations as well as harnessing income from the various charity events going forward.

Nomads Academy will be running four junior league tournaments at the following age groups and times:

Under 8s – Friday 14th April – 9:30-13:00
Under 9s – Friday 14th April – 13:30-16:00

Under 10s – Saturday 15th April – 9:30-13:00
Under 11s – Saturday 15th April – 13:30-16:00

All ages will be 8v8 formats played on the new Quay 3G with pitch markings and goals in place for these levels.

Format of twelve sides will include teams split into two leagues guaranteeing all sides five competitive fixtures.

Games will be fifteen minutes long.

Following the league phases 1st in both leagues will play off in a Grand Final, as will 2nd vs 2nd and 3rd vs 3rd from both leagues.

The above three finals will be two ten minute halfs.

Entry fee is just £40 pet team.

Teams can bring as many players down as they wish and their will be a Trophy and medals for the top three sides as well as a Player of The Tournament Award also.

With the above format we feel we offer a good amount of guaranteed playing time, a quick and simple tournament format, which ensures day runs smoothly and won't drag on.

We will also offer the best pitches available possible on 3G surface which are good size with specific pitch markings with no cones in site along with spectators standing zone also.

Games over the day will also be filmed and streamed live on our clubs you tube channel as well as professional photographs taken and added to clubs facebook page, available for all parents to take as they wish.

All teams, players and coaches will also be given free Welsh Premier league tickets for gap Connah’s Quay Nomads first team game vs Bala Town on Friday 14th April 19:30 kick off at the Deeside Stadium.

All teams interested must contact Leighton Sumner to reserve your place. All sides entering will have there place confirmed on the Nomads Twitter account.

Nomads Academy aim to raise £2000 for the gap 20/20 challenge with lots of extras and off field events and stalls also to be announced in what should be a fantastic two days of football for all.
