Last Friday and Saturday our u8, u9, u10, u11 and u13 sides travelled away to Liverpool to face Elite Academy in 8v8 and 9v9 fixtures.

Our newly formed under 8s playing in their first ever match together came away with a ten eight victory with some great football on show as individuals and as a team.

Goal scorers included Jayden Jones (4), Evan Lysaught (2), Ben Cronshaw, Joseph Barton, Ben Cronshaw and Liam Golding-Bevan.

Man of the match went to Joseph Barton who was superb in defence playing out from goal kicks superbly, confident wanting the ball and got on the score sheet also.

Our under 10s followed our under 8s game on Friday night and fell to a six two defeat. The side fell two nil behind early on before a Hayden Roberts goal pulled one back. Finley Maelor-Lambert got a second for the side before Elite sealed the win with four more goals in the second half.

Our under 9s were first up on Saturday paying under new coaches Stuart Williams and Thomas Bibby for the first time with Mark Rowlands away with the first team. The side won the fixture by four goals to two with four different goal scorers including Jamie Davies, Niall Griffiths, Harry Serridge and Jack Casey. Jamie Davies was awarded man of the match.

The under 11s fought out a three two win . 8 members of the team have made the Flintshire County team this week for next season which was a great achievement leading into this fixture. RafaeklEndemano grabbed himself two goals, with a single for Charlie Davies and man of the match going to Jack Williams who was impressive in a holding centre midfield role.

The final game in Liverpool was for our under 13s who fell to a two one defeat. Fantastically every single player was available so coaches Danny Mapp Jones and Anthony Weaver played two completely different sides each half. Nil nil at the break Elite ran into a two nil lead in the second half before Ben Thompson pulled a goal back for the team. Ben was also awarded man of the match whose passing was superb and he took his goal very well.

Great challenging games for all our sides which is most important in the academy and its great to see our sides kick off fixtures for the new season.

All teams full match reports by coaches are done every evening of the game and are all online now to view for all teams on their pages of the site. As well as this update d stats have been done for all, as well as photos taken for the u8s and u10s games.
