Last week Wales assistant manager Osian Roberts unveiled the four new academy honour boards at The Quay Clubhouse.

A fantastic two days for the academy and football club saw us host the annual U14 Cymru Cup at our very own Quay 3G.

The two day event saw the Wales U14 national team which included former Nomads Academy player Levent Gundogan now at Manchester United, compete against North and South select U14 sides made up of players from Welsh Premier and non Welsh Premier academies.

A superb event to host and we thank FAW Trust for giving us the opportunity to aid in such a great national event.

Following the two days Wales Assistant Manager Osian Roberts gave up his time to unveil our four new honour boards which have recently gone up in the academy head quarters.

The unveiling was done alongside former Nomads Academy players who both took part in the Cymru Cup including Levent Gundogan (Manchester United) and Billy Nicholas (Wrexham) who represented the National and North Wales sides. Also in the photo and unveiling is five of our U11 and U12 academy players who were ball boys over the two days.

At Nomads academy we have four main areas of success which we are ultimately judged on including:

number of players into the first team, number of players who move onto sign for professional football league and premier league clubs, number players who represent Wales and since our scholarship program with Coleg Cambria how many graduates we can aid moving onto university or employment roles.

The four new honour boards give all of our academy players clear goals and targets to succeed within the Nomads Academy set up along with being able to view the high number of successful individuals who have achieved in one or more of these four key areas to date.

The Honour boards are located in The Quay Clubhouse and Cafe and we hope to be adding to there boards over the coming season with lots more individual success to celebrate.
