They were back in action first thing Saturday morning when they faced Flint Town at Connah’s Quay High School and like all the games against Flint on the weekend it was a tight affair, but one the Nomads boys won grabbing a late goal to win the game two one.

Our first team notched there third draw on the bounce which leaves the title race wide open with 5/6 teams with a huge chance of winning the title.

The side went one nil down to Porthmadog thanks to a Chris Williams goal before Mark McGregor equalized in the second half. Nomads couldn’t take there chances late on and were forced to settle for the draw.

Under 19 player Rhys Healey though came on again in the second half with Shaun Tinsley also on the bench. This was Healey’s 10th first team appearance of the season a great achievement for the 16 year old striker.

Sunday saw very tight and competitive academy cup games between our 12s and 14s sides.

Our 12s earned a two two draw with goals from Owen Manley and Ben Finnegan and 14s a one one draw with George Rathbone getting the goal with a well taken penalty.

Both games were played in good spirits and some good football was on display.
