Played on the 3G surface the game was played at a very high pace and saw both teams pass the ball well.
Nomads took a two goal lead though going into half time thanks to a double from striker Rhys Healey. The first a well taken one on one finish and the second a very good header from a Jordan Beck cross. Beck looked solid through out at left back and was man of the match in the game.
But Wrexham pushed forward also and a strong defence and a number of good saves from young sixteen year old goalkeeper Matthew Lea kept them at bay.
A number of changes were made at half time and Nomads grabbed three more goals. The first a fantastic volley by sixteen year old Daniel Brunning from just inside the area, which was followed up by a single from substitute Jack Higgott.
The scoring was complete by Healey when his free kick came crashing back off the wall only for Healey to hit a half volley into the back of the net.
A very good performance from the team in what was a great game of football for all in attendance.
We thank Wrexham as well as Lee Jones for inviting us for this fixture and hope that we can have more fixtures across other age groups over the season.
