Coleg Cambria Scholars crowned National Champions
For the second successive season ours and Coleg Cambria Scholars are crowned National Champions following a 8-3 win over Gower College Swansea.
The fixture was played at TNS FC with the game filmed on Sgorio cameras also with the highlights being shown on Monday 16th May.
The side got off to a superb start going two nil up thanks to a Jack Chambers strike and penalty.
Gower responded with a penalty themselves to make it two one before further strikes from Josh Jones and Chambers gaining his hat trick gave the side a four one lead going into half time.
But the second half early exchanges saw Gower dominate and bring the score back to 4-3 with two well taken goals.
But with just twenty minutes to go the Scholars pushed on and scored a further four goals from Jake Jones, Josh Jones, Joe Johnson and Luke Blizzard.
An amazing achievement in just two years of our Academy Scholarship programme to have won the National U19 College Cup both seasons is an outstanding achievement for players.
This season has been the first we have had two sides and this cup victory goes along side both A and B sides winning their North West Cat 2 and 3 leagues also.
The games for our scholars continue tomorrow with both A and B sides facing Bridgend College in National Premier Cup Semi Finals for 13:00 and 15:00 kick offs at Newtown.
Following Wednesday our youth team than have two finals starting Friday vs Cefn Druids in the NEWFA U19 cup final followed by Swansea City next Wednesday at Newtown in the Welsh Youth Cup Final.
Another great accolade in what has been an amazing season for our scholars, development and youth sides with even more semi finals and finals to look forward to.
