Nomads edge Llandudno.
Nomads narrowly beat Llandudno on the seaside.
The boys started brightly moving the ball forward quickly and working hard when out of possession.
Justifiably we took the lead when Ben Cronshaw struck a lovely goal from distance 1-0
The boys were really settled and playing some good stuff but Llandudno forged a rare attack and equalised to make it 1-1
Soon we had our noses back in front when Ben Cronshaw crossed the ball in from the right for Liam Ellis to make it 2-1
It wasn’t long before we extended our lead, and Curtis Cook who was a constant threat throughout presses the Llandudno defence and forced them into an error scoring an own goal.
Defensively the boys had been sound, playing out comfortably, in particular the two goalkeepers Jake Carrol and Ben Jones who were sharing duty on the day.
The game was in the late stages and our boys really opened up the gap when a great shot from Kieran Whittingham was saved by the keeper only for James Hughes to pop home the rebound 4-1
Llandudno tried to rally and managed to force a late consolation goal which gave them a little hope but our boys ran out 4-2
Man of match Jake Carrol.
