This morning we welcomed Llandudno town to the 3G. Last year we had some good battles with them and today was no different. I've got alot of time for Llandudno coach Paul 'robbo' Roberts and the way he coaches there squad doing things the right way. 1st period was Llandudnos as we could not get out of our own half and we couldn't keep the ball. Good pressing from dudno. We really struggled to keep hold of the ball and to many errors were occurring. Llandudno eventually took the lead with a fine effort from the left hand side and the ball flew straight over our keeper Into the far corner. We had a couple of efforts but nothing to trouble there goalkeeper. 2nd period started and more of the same from Llandudno, high pressing and forcing our boys to make mistakes and they made no mistake 5 mins into the half on making it 2-0 and were in total control. Soon after they made it 3-0 from a sloppy mistake and they took full advantage. 3-0 down and the boys finally wake up. A mistake from Llandudno keeper put Alfie Griffiths through on goal for a tap in then 5 mins later Lennon young hit a power dive over the keeper to make it 3-2. Now it was Llandudno who were struggling to create and put passes together and we found ourselves on top. Some great saves from dudno keeper denied us getting an equaliser in the 2nd period. We had a little chat with the boys at the break and went out into the 3rd quarter. Now the game was open and both teams attacking end to end, another mistake from there keeper and defender put Lennon through on a clear goal to tap in from close range to make it 3-3. Soon after we were given a corner, young took the corner and found Louie Gilbert at the back post and he bundled it in from close range and it was 4-3 to nomads. Still Llandudno attacked and looked dangerous and they got there equaliser after there midfielder got round our defender and steered the ball right across the goal and it was tapped in at the back post to make it 4-4. Llandudno were starting to look the better team again and were looking for the winner. 5 mins to go Llandudno lost possession and we broke 4 on 2 , Leighton mills fed trough a ball to Blake Rigby who slammed the ball into the back of the net, 5-4 nomads. With 50 seconds to go Llandudno deservedly got there equaliser and some fantastic play by there forward who out battled Louie Gilbert and the striker fired home underneath Jake Barlow to make it 5-5 just before full time . Overall i thought llandudno were the better team today and should of won the game. We didn't play to our full potential and we can take positives out of it that we got the draw from being 3-0 down, but massive credit to Paul and his squad who have improved so much we wish them all the very best for the 2017/18 season.
