Earlier this week I was lucky enough to represent Conwy Borough FC in a Media Workshop down in Cardiff courtesy of the FAW.

This week I was lucky enough to be sent down to Cardiff on a media workshop to gain a qualification in sports media which is one part of the Domestic license requirement for the club. I was one of only a few representing Huw Grays Alliance clubs, as other media officers were from Welsh Premier League Clubs

When I arrived on Tuesday evening we were transferred to the Cardiff City stadium, where Cardiff City hosted Bournemouth in a highly anticipated match as Bournemouth were top of the table and are looking promising to get promotion to the premier league this season.

When we arrived at the stadium we were shown around the the Cardiff City stadium into the press areas and given behind the scenes access. Then were lucky enough to be given free tickets to watch the Cardiff vs Bournemouth game at pretty much pitch level.

Wednesday morning we were transferred to Newport from the hotel in Cardiff and were lucky enough to be invited to Chris Colemans national squad announcement at the Vauxhall dealership, where various media organisations had gathered from TV, Radio and Newspapers as this was Chris Colemans first press conference since Belgium 4 months ago.

After that us club representatives were taken down the road to the excellent sports facility of Dragons Park and were served food like the Welsh national squad would enjoy when they meet there before international matches.

As we waited we were given the tour of Dragons Park to see what happens there on a day to day basis.

Chris Coleman then came down to meet us for 'one to one' interviews as we were given our chance to put our questions to him. After Chris had left we were given a conference of 'Media Best Practices' by FAW representatives and Rhondda media.

On behalf of the Club I would like to say a big thankyou to the FAW for providing excellent accommodation and transport and also for giving an interesting course which I really enjoyed and learnt alot from.
