Academy player recruitment began over the summer with trials being held at the Llandrillo College and Eirias Park 3G facilities with the club running teams at under 10, 12, 14, 16 & 19 levels.

The club's academy Director Chris Whitley commented:

“We are delighted, it is excellent result for all the hard work by the Academy Working Group that was established to make this possible”.

"We can now move on and put into place a "Performance Enhancement" facility that will prove to be a major boost for the talented youngsters in the area. A lot of work still remains to be done if we are to bring the venture up to our desired standards. We need enthusiastic adults and ambitious players to join us on this exciting journey. It is hoped that Academy status will enable both young players and coaches to progress in the game."

"We are also in the process of establishing a community team dimension, with a place for anyone with a variety of skills and experiences to join us."
