CHAIRMAN DELIGHTED WITH FLOODLIGHT RESPONSE
After an excellent response to the fundrasing appeal for the floodlight repairs, the work is now taking place and expected to be completed by Friday lunchtime.
Chairman Geoff Cartwright commented:
"I would like to thank everyone who has sponsored a player so far in order to raise funds to repair the floodlights."
"Although we are still short of the money needed we are hopeful that we can continue to raise funds to cover the costs and there are still a few players left to sponsor."
"Our fundraising committee have been working on organising some events and we've also had some kind offers from other friends of the club to help out."
"It really has been a fantastic response in such a short space of time and the support has been greatly appreciated."

TEAM NEWS
Back to "on the pitch" matters and Conwy United manager Mick McGraa side face a big test against a Rhyl side who have slipped to 6th place in the league (after two successive defeats) and are now 10 points behind leaders Gap Connahs Quay but with 4 games in hand. There is no doubt that they will be fired up to get the result they need to get their promotion bid back on track.
In contrast, Conwy United have been rejuvinated since the New Year with the new management team making an immediate impact after inheriting a side which had won only 1 in 15 games which has now won 4 of the last 6 with the last two results against top two sides, in particular, indicating real progress.
"We have played the top two teams in the league and come away with four points which shows how far we have come in a short space of time." said Conwy manager Mick Graa.
"However, we don’t want to get carried away and need to try and keep this run going, but we have a very tough game against Rhyl on Friday night - another team fighting for promotion. As we said last week we will have say in where the title ends up and really want to finish on a high."
Conwy are likely to be unchanged from the side which won 3-1 at Buckley. However, it looks as if Eddie Jebb will be playing his last game for Conwy on Friday on-loan from Bangor after being recalled by Bangor City Manager Nev Powell. Mick McGraa has already made moves to fill the void with 7 days notice of approach being served on two players.
