Conwy Borough look to build upon last Saturdays opening day win with the visit of Mold Alexandra on Saturday.

Conwy Borough manager Aden Shannon is expecting another tough test against a side who only lost out narrowly last weekend to promotion favourites Prestatyn Town, 2-1: “We are really looking forward to the game as Mold will provide another big test of character for the lads and we will have to be at our best to beat them. They are a decent team and Sean Rodgers has them very organised."

“But on the back of a great win last week I am hoping to build on that and take another three points. We must start better and take the game to them and stop giving teams time to settle, so, if we do that, then we will have a chance.”

Shannon has added to the squad this week with the signing of former Bangor City midfielder Rob Jones who joins from Connahs Quay.

Jones originally signed for The Nomads in January 2010 from West Cheshire League side, Castrol Social. He left the Deeside Stadium in the summer of 2013 to join Bangor City where he made 27(+9) appearances, scoring twice, but returned to Deeside in January 2015 where he was a part of their resurgence under Alan Bickerstaff.

Shannon also has full backs Steven Kane and Elliot Corridon in contention following the receipt of international clearance.

Prior to the game the Manchester United vs Newcastle match will be shown live in the clubhouse via BT Sport (KO 12.45pm).
