Collins, who is 27-years-old and stands at 6ft 2”, was with the Lakesiders since January 2012 and previously appeared for Ruthin Town, Buckley Town and Connah's Quay. He has made over 50 starts in the Welsh Premier League for Bala and comes with European experience having appeared in the Europa competition.

"Ben is a massive coup for the club, he comes back after a year out of football due to a business venture but his is more than ready to come back.” said Conwy Borough manager Aden Shannon.

“He's knocked back several Welsh Premier clubs and half of the Huws Gray Alliance to come to us as he believes in what we are trying to do as a club.”

Shannon has also confirmed that Collins will also assume a coaching role within his back-room staff:
“He will also help me and my staff with the coaching sessions as he is a qualified fitness instructor and is also willing to work with the academy.”
