Conwy Borough manager Jason Aldcroft has appointed experienced former TNS defender Tommy Holmes as his assistant manager.

Holmes joins the club from Buckley Town FC where he has been playing this season. He has made over 300 appearances in the Welsh Premier league with experience of playing against Liverpool in the Champions League for TNS, who he joined following his release from Tranmere Rovers in 2000/1. He went on to appear for both Airbus UK Broughton and Prestatyn Town before joining Buckley in the Huws Gray Alliance.

Jason Aldcroft said: "Tommy Holmes is a great addition as a player and assistant manager. He has vast experience and playing knowledge after being at Tranmere Rovers and then 12 years spent at TNS.

"Tosh is also great lad to have around and brightens up the place with his personality and he also has many contacts within the game."
